Jamila Crawford is the principal of Scissortail Elementary.

Prior to moving to Scissortail, Crawford was the principal at Cross Timbers elementary since 2015. Prior to that, she served as an assistant principal at both Cross Timbers and Orvis Risner Elementary. She also spent 12 years as a first-grade teacher serving at both Charles Haskell Elementary and Ida Freeman Elementary.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the Scissortail community, “ Crawford said. “As an Edmond Public School graduate, I have a passion for our community and can’t wait to cultivate a culture of excellence at Scissortail. Through a collaborative process involving all stakeholders, we are poised to develop optimal learning opportunities for all and build on the tremendous momentum we have in our district.” Crawford has a master’s in educational leadership from the University of Central Oklahoma.
